Music Fest has been the ultimate talent competition and showcase for New York City public high school students since 2001. FOR STUDENTS - BY STUDENTS - from auditions through rehearsals to the night of the Music Fest performance, this event is entirely put together by the TORCH program participants, encouraging NYC youth to express and showcase their culture, creativity and talent.

After hundreds of auditions, the most talented are chosen. The performers attend eight rehearsals at which TORCH participants provide consultation on sound, lighting and presentation resulting in a stronger and more professional performance.

The performers compete for prizes and an opportunity to participate in a special encore performance which will be held on Friday, June 5th this year. Their performances are judged by top entertainment and music industry professionals. Additionally special guest performances, audience give-a-ways and a rockin' pre-show all make Music Fest the place to be!
